 Who are PDC North Shore?

Based on Auckland's North Shore, we live and breathe design and print. It's who we are and it's what we do.

Being part of printing.com's New Zealand network, means our clients enjoy boutique agency attention to detail, backed up by big company capacity.

Many of our customers have been with us for years, and a high proportion of our business comes from referrals.

We love to see our clients flourish. If we can help them achieve their marketing goals and realise their promotional dreams, then that's a pretty darn cool day at the office!

Erin Adkins

Owner and Chief Dynamo

Originally from: Palmerston North

Joined PDC in: Set up the Albany store in 2006, bought the Takapuna franchise in 2007

Primary role at PDC North Shore: I guess I'm "the face" of PDC North Shore. I'm our brand champion, always out & about promoting what my amazing team can do for our clients. It's also my responsibility to ensure that we maintain consistently excellent customer service.

Favourite product: Websites. Not only do they look brilliant but they're easy to navigate. It doesn't matter if you're on your phone, laptop or desktop device, they're fully responsive so will always show our clients at their best.

Favourite swatch: Born Lippy (030)

When I'm not at work, you'll find me: Trying out one of Auckland's fantastic selection of restaurants, or maybe cheering on one of our three boys on the sports field. If it's the weekend, and the weather's fine, I'll be out fishing!

Hayley Karanui

Digital Account Manager and Multitasker Supreme

Joined PDC in: 2000

Primary role at PDC North Shore: It really is a bit of everything, including administration, customer liaison, and programming print jobs. I thrive on variety, and I love looking after our clients – some of whom I've known for 15 years.

Favourite product: Starmarque Spot UV. Beautiful, eye-catching and distinctive – and looks way more expensive than it actually is!

Favourite swatch: Hot Pants (010)

When I'm not at work, you'll find me: With my family. I love fishing - although I don't get to do it very often - and camping. It's just great to get out, enjoy some space, and take a moment to breathe.

Yoki Yao

Graphic Designer and Creative Superstar

Originally from: Shandong Province, China

Joined PDC in: August 2015. I moved to NZ in 2012, and studied at the YooBee School of Design in Auckland. I was so happy to start working with Erin straight after graduation. It was a dream come true!

Primary role at PDC North Shore: Helping clients bring their requirements to life with design to enhance their brand. The systems are set-up so well here; it's easy for clients to find exactly what they need online, and then for us to deliver a great result for them.

Favourite product: Inkjet full-colour Invoice Booklets. Someone told me we're the only studio in New Zealand to offer this product.

Favourite swatch: Big Yellow Taxi (015)

When I'm not at work you'll find me: shopping online, listening to music (Sam Smith's good), tucking into a good Thai curry, or watching NBA (my favourite player is Kawhai Leonard).

Michelle Kelly

Number Cruncher (part-time)

Originally from: Sydney, and I moved to Auckland when I was 11.

Joined PDC in: January 2017

Primary role at PDC North Shore: I look after the accounts payable & receivable. The team are great fun, and their clients are really great. I'm actually a qualified travel agent; I used to work at Air New Zealand in their corporate travel department. I've also run the accounts & admin for few small businesses and franchises.

Favourite product: I don't have just one favourite. I love the fact that a client can get everything they need from us. Company branding, a website, stationery, promotional items – our team can do the lot! That makes life easier for the client, not least because they know the quality will be consistent.

Favourite swatch: Minty Mouthwash (116)

When I'm not at work, you'll find me: chasing around after our two boys, baking groovy-looking cakes (I've done a Minion and an R2-D2 recently!), watching Suits, and reading Home & Garden magazine.

Our Manifesto

We are obsessed with gorgeousness.

The world is a fabulous place; we strive to make it more so. We help our
clients reveal and illuminate who they are and what they stand for.

We achieve this through honest collaboration. Embracing mind-boggling
technology. Unleashing artistic talent.

It is simply not enough to just meet a client's expectations. We seek to
thrill and delight. Every single time.

We are not cookie-cutter people. Our differences make our team
stronger; they're integral to our client's happiness.

We believe that we should:
Be brave. Ask questions. Listen to the answers.
Show respect for colour, design, white space, and balance.
Have fun. Laugh. A lot.
